Our management team and care workers receive intensive care training from the outset, ensuring everyone strives to deliver a professional and high quality home care service, which not only provides our clients with peace of mind and the support they require, but also giving the reassurance and assistance needed to their families, friends and loved ones.
As a minimum, all our care workers are trained in:
- Role of the care worker
- Health & Safety/Fire safety/Infection control
- Safeguarding of vulnerable adults
- Safe handling of medication
- Basic first aid awareness
- Moving & handling (theory & practical)
- Basic food hygiene
- Dementia care
- End of life care
- Mental capacity act
- Record keeping
- Challenging behaviour
in addition to any specialist areas of training required. All staff have completed a QCF (NVQ) in care or will be working towards completion within their first 12 months of employment.
Emma, the Care Director, began her career aged 16 as a Carer and has since progressed steadily through the care sector. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the care industry ranging from residential care, hospital and community settings helping the elderly, mental health needs, learning disabilities and the physically disabled.
Emma has achieved many different qualifications in Health and Social Care - NVQ levels 2,3,4, Leadership and Management in Care Services and more recently has achieved her QCF Level 7 in Strategic Management. Her exceptional drive, dedication and determination sees her making a real difference to the lives of the individuals under her care.
